Glass Survey assorted works Spring 2022:
An array of works made using hot-blown molds, free-form glass sculpting, and kiln work. An exploration and introduction to glass. From left to right: slug, strawberry vase, hot sculpted flower, kiln worked personification of the Gowanus Canal, mold and kiln made anatomical heart, paperweight. (Paperweight and slug were found in the trash at Urban Glass, and are not made by me). This ignited my love for glass, and challenged me to think more about objects I could make that are intentional in their use of glass. This class also made me want to become a glass artist because of how interesting my teachers at Urban Glass were.
