Carved and cold-worked glass to create illustrations created in my Glass Projects class in Fall 2022. Experimenting with ideas of dimensionality, and how carving on the “front” versus “back” sides impact the viewer. Inspired by the meaning of my sister’s name, Peri, which means fairy in Persian in order to imagine what a glass fairy would look like. We both have names related to fairies, my middle name is Faye, so it is the iconography that we both relate to.
